The Beginning

It was Christmas. I got a new phone. It was the one I had my eye on. The Samsung Galaxy S6. I was ecstatic! I set it up and started playing around with it.

I started taking pictures. The camera quality and built-in editing features were impressive. I took more pictures.  I tried a bunch of different editing applications.  I went to new places. I took pictures. I edited them. The cycle continued: See, Shoot, Edit. I didn’t know it, but I was falling in love with photography.

As I formed an impressive collection of pictures on my phone, I realized I wanted other people to see my pictures. I found myself constantly showing them to friends and family, asking for feedback. I thought of using social media to showcase my work. It just didn’t feel right at the time.

Then, I discovered WordPress. I can own my content, and have the world see my pictures. I decided to try it out. After a week of perfecting the design and layout of the site, I wrote this.

This is chapter one of my photography story. Who knows what’s next?

I remember starting my 365 challenge and now the year is near over. I have learned a lot along the way and had great comments from those that follow me. So good on you for getting started and enjoy your blogging. Looking forward to seeing your photographs.
