Extravagant Edits

Although I’ve been trying to embrace the beauty of unedited pictures more & more, I always find it interesting to play around with extravagant edits.

I ended up using every setting in my editing application to create this image. I added & emphasized colour and sharpened the image. This created an interesting, comic book-style effect.

For comparison purposes, I’ve included the original image and the extravagant, colourful rendition side-by-side below.

The original image is simple and showcases the vibrant green of the leaves against the contrasting cloudy skies. On the other hand, the edited image is vivid and emphasizes any red tones.

It’s always interesting to see how editing an image can change its mood from calm & serene to extravagant & bright.

P.S – I switched out the image on the homepage of the site with one that matches the colour scheme of the site and was used in an earlier post. You can view the new homepage here, and read the post here.

P.P.S. – As I mentioned in my latest update post, I want to try and do something different to celebrate Me, Myself & the Camera’s first anniversary. To begin, I thought I would do a Q&A! Leave your questions in the form below and/or in the comments section of any of my posts. I’ll be adding the Q&A form throughout my blog.
